About the event
Artist Eugenia Ortiz has invited the Ecstatic Dance KC community to come and dance in her beautiful, vibrant solo exhibit, RESURGENCE, at the Mission Arts Center. She is celebrating being selected to be a part of the 2024 Kansas City Parade of Hearts.
The event is facilitated by live violinist Kimberli Hansen, aka String Theory, artist Eugenia Ortiz, and InterPlay leader and facilitator Devi Wetterer.
10:45 am: doors open
11:00 am: Warmup interplay and intention setting
11:30 am: Ecstatic dance with live electric violin
12:30 pm: Cool down sound healing
12:45 pm: Closing sharing circle
What is interplay? InterPlay is a therapeutic practice that uses playful group activities like storytelling and movement to nurture the inner child within.Â
What is ecstatic dance? Ecstatic dance is an intentional movement practice where you let the music guide your motions as you explore the benefits of motion as you dance your way beyond limitations and judgment in a safe community container. Â We are Hex-Static to Dance with you!
